The ingredients needed to make Stuffed Karela:
  1. Take 4-5 karela
  2. Prepare For stuffing
  3. Prepare 3/4 cup besan
  4. Take 1 tsp haldi powder
  5. Prepare 1 tsp coriander powder
  6. Take 1 tsp red chilli powder
  7. Make ready 1 tsp kitchen king masala
  8. Take to taste Salt
  9. Make ready 2-3 tbsp jaggery
  10. Take 2 tbsp oil
  11. Get 1/2 tsp cumin mustard seeds
Steps to make Stuffed Karela:
  1. Take all the karelas. If you can find small ones it’s better, I have big karelas that’s is why I have cut them in half
  2. Peel the skin off and make a cut in the middle and keep aside
  3. Take a pan and add besan and in low medium heat dry roast until the aroma comes out
  4. Take it out into a bowl and let it cool down
  5. Add all the dry masala and jaggery as well as oil
  6. Mix well. Your stuffing is now ready
  7. Take the karela and fill it with the stuffing
  8. Place a pan onto the gas and add water, place a plate on top and let it boil.
  9. Place the stuffed karela on top and close the lid
  10. Steam until properly cooked
  11. Once it’s cooked let it cool down for a bit
  12. Once cool take a pan add oil and let it heat up
  13. Add mustard cumin seeds once crackling add the karela and in low medium heat roast well until nice
  14. Once nicely cooked using the left over stuffing mix sprinkle on top
  15. Your stuffed karela is ready to serve
  16. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
